The Khayembii Communiqué

The Khayembii Communiqué were a three-piece Screamo/Hardcore band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. They just were active from 1999 to 2000.

The guitarist Mark screamed out his emotions while strumming furiously on his guitar and the singer-bassist Brian combining it with poppy basslines and awesome clean singing. Really good stuff!

They released a 7'' and s Split 10'' with The Vidablue.

Members were: Mark Shaw, Mark Jorgensen, Brian Wilcox.

They were also involved in bands such as The Infinity Dive, Song of Zarathustra,
Vi Som Älskade Varandra Så Mycket.

The Birds Are Spies, They Report To The Trees

The Birds Are Spies, They Report To The Trees. What a lovely band...

They were an emo band from Oslo, Norway and active from 2004 - 2008.
In that time they released two 7'' and a CD.

Their sound is hard to classify and i dont even want to do it. Within the Punk-Hardcore-Emo-Whatsoever genre they pretty much stand out among many bands.

The members also played in Catena Collapse. They existed at the same time. Another amazing band.
Both bands are pretty special to me.

The Spirit Of Versailles

The Spirit of Versailles were a Screamo band from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Active from 1998 - 2001. You most likely heard about them.

Their sound is probably pretty polarizing. You either love it or hate it.
One thing is sure: They sound unique! And i love it.

Emo-driven screamy hardcore, smart songwriting, catchy tunes with the greatest bass lines ever and screechy vocals. BJ Anderson's vocals are pretty infamous for sounding "inhuman" on their early works...(i still don't know how he managed to do it).

Members were: BJ Anderson, Eric Evenson, John Thies, Tanner Olson, Tim Jewell

Some members were also involved in In loving memory, Eclipse of Eden, Examination of the..., Saqqara, Caligari.

Ayways, they put out quiet a bit in 4 years.
Here you go!

You and I

You and I were a Screamo/Hardcore band from New Jersey.
If you are into 90s Screamo and don't already know them, you should give them a try.

They were active from 1996 to 1999 and released 2 LPs and 2 EPs. They had an overall heavy sound with noisy and chaotic mosh parts paired with screamed vocals on the one hand and quiet melodic, soft-spoken sections on the other (sometimes a little too cheesy for my taste haha).

Members were: Justin Hock, Casey Boland, Tom Schlatter, Jon Marinari, Chris Boland

Jon (Bass) went on to play in Neil Perry and Welcome the Plague Year.
Casey (Guitar) later played in Hot Cross together with Billy Werner and Greg Drudy of Saetia and Matt Smith (Off Minor).
Tom (Guitar ) had quiet a career in Hardcore. He played guitar, bass or drums in bands such as The Assistant, This Ship Will Sink, Black Kites, Capacities and many more.

Here is all their stuff.

Indian Summer

I don't think i have to tell you much about this band.

Adam and Seth Nanaa who played with Scott Torguson in Sinker formed Indian Summer after Sinker broke up. Scott became the vocalist for Amber Inn i think.

Indian Summer were a short-lived but one of the most influential Emo/Hardcore bands from Oakland, California. They were active in the early 90s (~1993 - 1994) and influenced the sound of Emo bands to come.
During their brief existence they released a 7'' and three Splits ( with Current, Embassy and Ordination of Aaron) and contributed songs to 3 compilations.

In 1999, Star 13 released a Live set that Indian Summer played at KZSU. It is called Blue Universe and was repressed several times as Hidden Arithmetic.

In 2002 Future Recordings released their discography under the name Science 1994.

Members were: Adam Nanaa, Seth Nanaa, Marc Bianchi, Eyad Keileh

So here is all their stuff. Enjoy!!!
